Asbury Park, NJ. One of the jersey shore’s truly hidden gems. This is a beach town with so much history, music, art and people that make it such a thriving community. The beach town has several old architectural structures that are a standing testament to the times. Through urban decay, there is beauty and charm throughout. This place used to not have anything but abandoned buildings and a few music venues scattered through the decayed landscape. It has drastically changed in the span of two decades. These pictures reflect that feeling. I tried capturing the old and the new at the same time. I like the contrast of the past, present and future all in one. This is definitely a place I will always frequent and continue to take pictures for years to come.
